Ocean Yuan founded Grape Solar with a vision to revolutionize the solar industry’s supply chain and to make solar accessible to middle class of Americans.

As a progressive business leader, Ocean Yuan successfully led and advanced global high tech manufacturing operations.

Prior to founding Grape Solar, Mr. Yuan was the Sr. Vice President of Solarfun and President of Solarfun USA (now Hanwha Solar One), a leading vertically integrated solar panel manufacturer traded in NASDAQ;. At Solarfun Power, Mr. Yuan spearheaded U.S. solar market to nurture a new industry at its infancy since 2007 in addition to streamlining and rationalizing global supply chain facing the solar industry in the rapidly changing environment.

Vice president of Smith & Associates in Houston, Texas. While at Smith & Associates, Mr. Yuan further improved quality control, logistics and supply chain management to better service global electronic manufacturing industry.

General Manager and Vice President of Solectron Corporation (now Flextronics) in electronic contract manufacturing industry. At Solectron, Mr. Yuan was fully responsible for Solectron’s top performing Suzhou facility with $1 billion revenue servicing industry leaders such as Motorola, commanding thousands of employees design and produce cutting edge telecommunication equipments for global distribution.

Business Unit Manager, Jabil Circuit, Asia Pacific. At Jabil, Mr. Yuan pioneered  its mobile handset unit with Nokia and laid the foundation for future expansion to a $1 billion account.

Mr. Yuan lives with his family in Eugene, Oregon since 1990, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Oregon in 1993.
