Grape Solar Launches Innovative Business Platform at Intersolar North America 2009

JULY 14, 2009 - SAN FRANCISCO, CA. Grape Solar, a new company poised to revolutionize the industry’s methods of supply and service, makes its official debut July 14 at Intersolar North America 2009 in San Francisco. Projected to draw more than 15,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors, this revered international trade show will serve as the launching pad for Grape Solar’s market entry, which is sure to benefit from the endorsement and support of the solar industry’s first consortium of leading manufacturers.

The Solar Consortium affiliation is a key component of Grape Solar’s unique business model, which accommodates direct sales of a virtually inexhaustible supply of the world’s finest field-proven PV modules. Grape Solar is leveraging this steady inventory by offering on-demand deliveries, no-minimum orders, premium customer service and prices that are significantly lower than current market rates.

The modules supplied by Grape Solar are the same products cost effectively implemented throughout Western Europe since 2004, which enables the company to offer some of the industry’s most generous warranty packages and embark on its mission to transform solar energy into an affordable commodity worldwide. This effort will initially be focused on North America, where Grape Solar operates from its headquarters in Eugene, Oregon.

Grape Solar’s participation at the Intersolar show will include a booth with product demonstrations, and a launch event, during which the Grape Solar team will meet with attending industry members and discuss the company’s innovative platform. Leading Grape Solar is President Ocean Yuan, an experienced executive whose previous posts include President of Solarfun Power USA (solar supply chain), Global Vice President of Smith & Associates (semiconductor distribution), and General Manager and Vice President of Solectron Corp. (electronics manufacturing, now part of Flextronics). Mr. Yuan has built a team of industry specialists whose goals are to ensure the quality of the PV modules and develop a customer support system that is unrivaled in the solar marketplace.
