Grape Solar’s client relationships go well beyond the delivery of the world’s finest PV modules. Through our ongoing effort to expand Grape Solar’s suite of services, we’re pleased to offer design consultation and referrals, which may include:
- Discussions with solar developer to establish basic guidelines
- Site Survey
- Discussions with Utility to establish point of connection and voltage parameters
- Selection of inverters
- Development of ground support system with structural engineer
- Support with power purchase agreement with Utility
- Preparation of drawings and specifications
- Review construction progress
- Supervise commissioning as requested
Scope of work and deliverables:
- Detailed plan drawings of the site and all solar modules
- Complete parts list for major components and accessories
- String sizing calculations
- PV Watts supporting analysis and printout
- Voltage drop calculations
- Wire sizing calculations including high-temperature analysis and conduit fill de-rating
- Combiner box details and breakout by conductors
- Coordination with structural engineer
- Coordination with utility and meetings as required to develop the generation facility and tie to the grid
- Detailed drawings of a typical sub-system, for example:
- 2,000 KW 480-volt inverte
- 280-watt modules (~7142 panels and ~2M watts DC)
- Combiner boxes
- Disconnects and overcurrent protect
- Pad-mount Step-up Transformer
- Transmission Voltage (115 KV or as required) utility grade substation transformer
- Other drawings as appropriate
- Construction documents (plans and specifications) suitable for bidding
